Kerrykeel (Irish: An Cheathrú Chaol, meaning "The Narrow Quarter") is a small village in County Donegal, Ireland. It lies between Knockalla Mountain [1] and Ranny Hill and is wrapped in the shores of the beautiful Mulroy Bay.[2] Kerrykeel is accessible via the R245 [3] & R247 roads which converge in the centre of the village. Kerrykeel is also in close vicinity to the popular tourist area of Portsalon. Portsalon serves as the gateway to the Fanad Peninsula.

Other amenities include Saint Colmcille primary school, a Garda station and both a Roman Catholic and a Presbyterian church.

Every Saturday morning the Kerrykeel Country [4] Market takes place selling local goods, which are organically farmed & homemade including a wide range of baked goods as well as locally made arts and crafts. During the summer period Kerrykeel sees an influx of tourists which mainly reside in Rockhill holiday and Adventure Park. However, tourists also avail of the many holiday homes available to rent in the area. In recent years "Kerrykeel Tidy Towns"[5] committee was set up with the vision of improving the overall look of the village. Kerrykeel and the surrounding areas have seen vast improvements in recent years thanks to their efforts. With the addition of seasonal flower beds, new green areas along the roads leading into the village and the much improved pier and lay-by along the Milford to Kerrykeel road.

In 2013, Kerrykeel was mistakenly named the 'Crime Capital Of Ireland' after a computer glitch at the Central Statistics Office. With a population of just over 400 people, Kerrykeel was said to have an increase in sexual assaults, burglaries and theft. Later the CSO stated that Kerrykeel was mixed up with Kevin Street in Dublin. The error was later rectified.
