Karunatilaka Amunugama (born 16 January 1954) is a Sri Lankan diplomat who has served as Ambassador to Thailand, Japan and China. He was succeeded by Ranjit Uyangoda on 16 August 2011 as Ambassador to China.[1][2] He is the current Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Investment Promotion. Prior to the appointment he was the Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs.[3]
