Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club is located in city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The course is designed by Jack Nicklaus's[1] company Nicklaus Design and it was open for playing in 2012. It is one of the most famous Golf Courses in India and has been rated as India's Best Golf Course for the year 2015 by World Golf Awards[2] and India Golf Awards.[3]
The golf course is spread over 175 acres and plays up to 7425 yards from the championship tees, which makes it the longest golf course in India. Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club is developed by the Navratna Group, Ahmedabad and is designed in a way that it complies with the United States Golf Association (USGA) specifications. The Golf Course layout has unique challenges and aesthetics including sand and beach bunkers and 14 bodies of water covering over 35 acres. The Golf Course also has a scenic island green on Hole No. 7. cover over 35 acres. In addition, the course features a scenic island green on Hole No. 7 (174 yards, par 3) and it has a slope rating of 76.8 & 142 meaning that a scratch golfer can play 4.8 over the course (76.8-72) from the back tees.
Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club proudly hosted “Ahmedabad Masters”,[4] the first tournament of the super series launched by PGTI on the lines of the USPGA’s FedEx Cup and European tours race to Dubai. PGTI Ahmedabad Masters 2015 was played in April 2015 at Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club.
