KIDR, 740 AM, is a Spanish Language Catholic radio station serving the Phoenix, Arizona, area. KIDR has been an affiliate of Radio AAHS (1992-1998), Beat Radio (1998) and Catholic Radio Network (1998-2000).
KIDR was owned by Radio Unica, and was sold to Multicultural Broadcasting in 2003 as part of a $150 million bankruptcy liquidation transaction.[1][2] Force Broadcasting, LLC acquired KIDR from Multicultural in 2009 for $1.5M.[3] On December 28, 2012, Force sold KIDR to En Familia, Inc. for $1.85M.
History
Prior to becoming KIDR in late 1992,[4] the station broadcast an easy listening format as KMEO ("Cameo").
