Together for Yes[1] (Catalan: Junts pel Sí; IPA: [ʒuns pəɫ si]) is a Catalan independence coalition to stand in the 2015 Catalonian parliamentary election. It is supported by Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC), Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC), Democrats of Catalonia (DC) and Left Movement (MES).[2]
The coalition is led by Raül Romeva, PhD in international relations and former eco-socialist MEP; Carme Forcadell, linguist and former president of ANC; Muriel Casals, economist and former president of Òmnium Cultural; Artur Mas, leader of CDC and former President of Catalonia; and Oriol Junqueras, leader of ERC.
The coalition includes some celebrity candidates, such as Pep Guardiola (former coach and player of FC Barcelona)[3] and Lluís Llach (singer-songwriter and longtime activist).[4] The current and last three presidents of the Catalan Parliament, Núria de Gispert, Ernest Benach and Joan Rigol, also joined the coalition,[5] closing the candidate list with Guardiola in the very last position.
Members
Junts pel Sí is formed by 135 candidates: 85 in the electoral district of Barcelona, 18 in Tarragona, 17 in Girona and 15 in Lleida.[6]
