Judika Nalon Abadi Sihotang, his popularity stage name Judika or Judika Idol (born August 31, 1978) is an Indonesian singer and actor of Batak descent. He is a runner-up of Indonesian Idol (season 2), behind Mike Mohede as first winner. Currently, Judika is husband of Puteri Indonesia finalist Duma Riris Silalahi.

Career

Early life and Indonesian Idol

Judika Nalon Abadi Sihotang was born on August 31, 1978 in Sidikalang, Dairi Regency, North Sumatera. Judika has two oldest brother: Erick Sihotang and Roy Sihotang. Since still in Inpres Primary School, Judika' singing was apparent. Even though, he had forming a vocal group, consists of Roy Sihotang, Juneidi and Jonathan. In addition, he also signed by an international hotel in Brastagi. He tested a ability of singing in Bahana Suara Belajar and the first winner to level of North Sumatra and in National level, he winning the third place.

In 2005, Judika auditioned for second season of RCTI' singing competition Indonesian Idol. Judika was runner-up for Grand Final. This is list song during he performing:

2007–2010: One and debut acting

Sony BMG Indonesia signed Judika in 2007 and releasing first single "Bukan Rayuan Gombal" to introducing him for industry music. His debut studio album One was released on January 22. In addition, he had played the 2008 debut film Si Jago Merah. For his success of film, he subsequently earning an award for Favorite Newcomer Actor at the Indonesian Movie Awards in 2009.[1] Judika ever played the film The Tarix Jabrix 2 with Indonesian rock band The Changcuters.

After moving signed to Sony Music Indonesia in 2010, Judika returning released his second studio album Setengah Mati Merindu and produced first single "Setengah Mati Merindu" which earned a nomination for Best Male (Artist) in 2011 Anugerah Planet Muzik. The second single "Bukan Dia Tapi Aku" was reached popularity in whole of among the public in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. The single making him returning to earning nomination for Most Popular Regional Song at the 2012 Anugerah Planet Muzik.

2011–2013: Mahadewa and Mencari Cinta

In addition as solo singer, Judika officially joined a band formed by Ahmad Dhani Mahadewa in 2011[2] and released first single "Cinta Itu Buta". In 2013, he returning releasing the third album Mencari Cinta after moving signed to Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia in twice times.[3] Most all singles from the album were taken from his debut and second album, excepting "Magnet", "Mama Papa Larang" and "Tiada Lagi" which was recycled and popularized by Indonesian controversial singer Mayang Sari. With his wife Duma Riris, he sang the song "Sampai Akhir".

2014–present: Hati & Cinta, departure from Mahadewa and The Voice Indonesia

Judika' fourth studio album Hati & Cinta was released on November 20, 2014. The album was received positive response from viewers. Single "Sampai Kau Jadi Milikkmu" returning reach popularity in Indonesian chart song and radio. In 2014 announced that he decided out from this group and replaced by Virzha, an Indonesian Idol finalist, through Twitter.[4] In January 2016, Judika appointed as coaches in The Voice Indonesia with Agnez Mo, Kaka Slank and Ari Lasso.[5]

Personal life

Judika married Puteri Indonesia finalist Duma Riris Silalahi at the HKBP Church in Balige on August 31, 2013, coincide with his birthday,[6] while wedding reception was held in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta.[7] They have two children.
