Joseph C. Hoagland

Joseph Christoffel Hoagland (June 19, 1841 - December 8, 1899) was the president of the Royal Baking Powder Company.

Biography

He was born on June 19, 1841 in Ohio to Andrew Hoagland, and he had a brother, Cornelius Hoagland (1828–1898). In 1865 he married Caroline C. Matlack and they had a son, John A. Hoagland.^[1]

He had an acrimonious split with his business partner, William Ziegler in 1888.^[2] He died on December 8, 1899.^[3]
