Jonas Arnell
Jonas Henry Arnell (born February 28, 1969 in Örebro, Sweden) is a Swedish Chief Security Officer and Consultant as well as a frequent writer on orders of chivalry, medals and fraternal organizations and has appeared in the media as an expert in the field.
Biography
Arnell is raised in Eskilstuna and attended the natural science programme at the St. Eskil's Gymnasium. In 1994 he received a degree of Bachelor of Education at Linköping University. After that he was Ombudsman and later President of the Teacher training college Student Union of Linköping och Norrköping 1995-1996 before it was united with another Student Union to form a single Philosophical Faculty Student Union, which he co-founded and named. He has since received a degree of Bachelor of Social Science at Stockholm University.
In 1999 Arnell launched a lobby campaign towards the MPs of the Parliament of Sweden to reinstate the Order of the Seraphim and the Order of the Polar Star for Swedish citizens as well as reinstating the dormant Order of the Sword and the dormant Order of Vasa. This contributed to his subsequent employment as Political Secretary at the Parliament Chancery of the Christian democrats the following year, as of 2001 Political Advisor on Education and Culture. During this time he was secretary for the Christian democrats' report "A Socialist University Sector" (2005), which after submission to the Constitutional Committee[1] and in the voting of the Parliament led to a reprimand of the Minister of Education,[2] being a less common outcome for the opposition side. He also made the draft for a noted article with ten proposals concerning teachers, publiceized on the World Teachers’ Day 2005,[3] of which teacher license have been imposed by the Alliance for Sweden government. He was also co-secretary of the final report "More Knowledge - A Modern Education Policy " form the Alliance for Sweden's committee on education. Between 2012 and 2014 he was Research Officer for the Swedish Teachers' Union and he worked strongly for After-school and After-school Teachers. In 2015 Arnell started working at C3 Konsult AB, from 2016 as Chief Security Officer and Consultant.
Arnell was one of the founders of the Society Georgian Friends in Sweden (SGVS) in 2009 and was on the board for several years.[4]
Previously married to Åsa Arnell (née Ahlin), Ph.D., Education Expert in Nacka. He has four children, two from a previous marriage to Malin Arnell, (née Iger).
Orders and Medals
In 1998 Arnell created a website, since 2003 on www.arnell.cc, where he accounts for genuine and fake orders of chivalry, medals and fraternal organizations in Sweden, and a blog on orders & medals news. He has also been webmaster, f.i. to the Swedish Lieutenancy of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre (2006-2010)[5] and the Nordic Maltese Aid Society (2007-2010). Since 2011 tied to www.all-medals.com/. Apart from the web, Arnell has written a great number of articles on orders and medals,[6] has lectured[7] and commented orders and medals in media.[8][9][10] Arnell has received several orders from former ruling dynasties for his work to promote genuine orders of chivalry.[11] He is an Associate Companion of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (2013).[12]
