Jay Connor
Jay Connor (born 1989) is a British entrepreneur,[1] film producer and the Chief Executive of Essex TV.[2]
Career
Connor’s early career began within the performing arts sector where he tried to establish himself as an actor whilst he assisted to manage a pub in East London shortly after this he moved to TV, initially being appointed Content Manager of Essex TV. He is the producer and director of TV show Loose Lads.[3][4] Connor rose to further prominence in summer 2016 after being the Head of Production on an exclusive TV documentary about the late King Kigeli V of Rwanda [5] [6]
In May 2016 he was appointed to the board of Essex TV, in July 2016 he became the Chief Executive of the channel.[7] Connor has also been appointed as the Chief Executive of Essex Magazine a local publication to which he is also reportedly a majority shareholder.[8]
Personal life
Connor is a keen Muay Thai fighter.[9] In a 2016 interview he commented on his support for Black Lives Matter.[10]
