Jason M. Burns (born March 17, 1978, in Massachusetts) is an American comic book writer and assistant publisher at Viper Comics. He is best known for creating the comic book titles The Expendable One and A Dummy’s Guide to Danger.
Career
Burns began his career as an entertainment journalist. His assignment to write a story on independent comics landed him an interview with Viper Comics publisher Jessie Garza. In 2004 Garza reviewed screenplays Burns had written and hired him to do a short story anthology for the book Dead@17: Rough Cut, Volume 1.
Since that time, Burns has written almost exclusively for Viper Comics and created such titles as The Expendable One, A Dummy's Guide to Danger, The Underworld Railroad, The Sleepy Truth. Devil's Due Publishing has also published a series of graphic novels written by Burns under the title Curse of the Were-Woman.[1]
In May 2007, his screenplayThe Expendable One was slated to become a motion picture with producers Trevor Macy and Mark Evans of Intrepid Pictures.[2]
