Jason Fried is an American software entrepreneur and author. In 1999, he co-founded the web application company 37signals in Chicago, Illinois.[1][2][3] In 2014, 37signals changed its name to Basecamp after the company's flagship product, Basecamp (software).[4] Fried previously served on the board of directors for Groupon.[5] He is the co-author of several bestselling nonfiction books, including Rework (2010) and Remote: Office Not Required (2013).[6][7]
