James Mackay (New Zealand politician, born 1831)

James Mackay (16 November 1831 10 October 1912) was a New Zealand farmer, explorer, public servant, administrator and politician. He was born in London, England on 16 November 1831. His father, also James Mackay, was the first member of parliament for the Town of Nelson electorate.[1] He was a member of the Auckland Provincial Council from 1870 to 1873.[1]
