Jacinta McDevitt

Jacinta McDevitt is an Irish writer. She has published three best-selling novels: Sign's On (2002), Handle With Care (2003) and Excess Baggage (2004). She also has one hugely successful non-fiction book published - Write A Book In A Year, Writing Workshop & Workbook (2006). She has won many awards for her short stories and wrote a series of articles called "That's Life" for Woman's Way magazine. She has had short stories published in "Mum's the Word" and "A Little Help From My Friends", collections of short stories by best selling Irish writers with all proceeds going to charity. She was also selected to have a short story in Poolbeg's short story collection of their top writers, "Thirty and Fabulous." Another of her short stories, "Way to Go, Dad" was shortlisted for the Francis MacManus Awards.

Jacinta is well known for her hugely successful writing workshops. She has given workshops for Fingal Co. Co., various libraries in the Dublin area, writing groups, transition year students and others.
