Karthik Jayaram is an Indian actor who is quite famous in kannada industry . He is known for his work in the television soap opera Ashwini Nakshatra, in which he played the role of a "superstar" actor Jay Krishna ("JK"), that was aired on Colors Kannada, between 2013 and 2015.[1] During the time, he appeared in films playing supporting roles mostly. His first role as a lead actor came in 2014 with the film Just Love. Alongside acting, he also works as a structural engineer.[2]
Television
From 2013 to 2015, Karthik appeared in a television soap, Ashwini Nakshatra, portraying the role of an actor Jay Krishna "JK", that was aired on Colors Kannada. In 2015, he was signed to play the role of Ravana in the mythological Hindi television series Siya Ke Ram that would be aired on Star Plus.[3]
Karthik was born in Koppa to Dr. Jayram, a renowned veterinary doctor and Banumathi as the second child and he has an elder sister. karthik got educated in one of the most prestigious schools in Bangalore, Kumaran's and then went on to possess his Engineering degree from BIT, with specialization in mechanical engineering. later he pursued his Masters in structural engineering and worked for a while in Dubai as a renowned structural engineer and then moved back to Bangalore while he was still in the peak of his career in Dubai and joined 'Praxair'. While working with Praxair his instincts in modeling and movies got triggered which later facilitated his entry to the small screen through 'Ashwini Nakshatra' in a big way. The serial not only gave him wide recognition not only but also attracted the directors of Mumbai who chose him to the famous serial ' Siya ki Ram' to play the role of ' Ravan'.
