Istočne Kapije
Istočne Kapije (Serbian: Источне Капије, Eastern City Gates, officially named Rudo) is a complex of three large residential buildings situated near the E-75 motorway in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and is among the most prominent structures along the Belgrade skyline. They are 85m tall, and were built between 1973 and 1976. The building were designed by architect Vera Ćirković and civil engineer Milutin Jerotijević.[1] Each of three buildings has 28 storeys and 190 apartments.[2]
These buildings "guard" the eastern gates of the city while the Western City Gate guards its western side; both were built in the brutalist style.
