Irreligion in Lebanon
Irreligion is uncommon among Lebanese, as Islam and Christianity are the predominant faiths.[1] It is difficult to quantify the number of atheists or agnostics in Lebanon as they are not officially counted in the census of the country.[1] There is a great stigma attached to being an atheist in Lebanon so many Lebanese atheists communicate via the internet.[1] It is difficult not to have your religion stated at birth although a baby in 2014 in Lebanon made history in doing so.[2][3][4][5]
