International College Hong Kong

International College Hong Kong (ICHK) is an international secondary school in Hong Kong.

Location and vision

ICHK is an international secondary school situated in the northern New Territories of Hong Kong. Its campus lies in a rural area, on the north-west corner of Starling Inlet and near Plover Cove Country Park.

Its vision is to create a community school where students are expected to be supportive and caring, and to take pride in the accomplishments of others. Its admission policy is centered on this vision with the requirement that any student applying "Should have a record of commitment to learning and good behavior at school" (ICHK Admissions policy). Students must also have a high standard of English.

Along with its three partner schools Hong Lok Yuen International School, Japanese International School and Kingston International School, it provides a through-train education from kindergarten to Year 13.[1]

Class sizes are a maximum of 20 and students are required to take part in the school's activities programme and CAS Week. During CAS Week, students take part in off-site activities including camps, work experience and community service.

ICHK is a member of the Council of International Schools and an IB World School. It follows an inquiry-based approach to learning in the lower school while preparing students for the IGCSE in Years 10 and 11 and the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13.[2][3]
