Humood Othman AlKhudher (in Arabic حمود عثمان الخضر; born 15 December 1989), sometimes known only by his mononym Humood is a Kuwaiti singer. He had a successful solo career, first as a child singer, and then as an independent artist. He released his debut album Fekra in 2013. In 2015 he was signed to Awakening Records and launched his album Aseer Ahsan with the label. The album includes 10 uplifting songs produced by Awakening Records.
Career
AlKhudher started his musical career at 10 years old when his uncle – who was an artist, made him join his event's coral and studio recordings.
He spent some of his early childhood years in England before returning to settle in Kuwait. He completed his undergraduate majoring Mass Communication at Kuwait University, but his passion for music made him take the decision to focus on the artistic field and founded a production company. Humood took lessons in the American Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in the United States.
Humood released many singles which were commercially successful in the Middle East. He was featured as a young singer in "Ummi Filisteen" by Kuwaiti singer and munsheed Mashari al Aarada. He released his debut album Fekra on Salam Productions. The title song "Fekra" was used as theme of a TV commercial for Zain Network. He also performed the theme song for the television program Khawater. "Keep Me True" was recorded as a video clip in Los Angeles, California, followed by a series of concerts in Kuwait as well as Jordan, Yemen as well as concerts in Istanbul, London, Chicago, Vancouver. Many of his songs were used in promotional ads in Kuwait and the Arab World. In 2013, he released a charity song "Zammilouni" about the victims of the civil war in Syria. Other Humood songs were used in Ramadan-themed and charity campaigns.
In 1 January 2015 Humood signed an exclusive record deal with Awakening Records, and later same month he released with them his album Aseer Ahsan. Just after being released, the album made the top selling list in iTunes Gulf and saved its 10th place in the Billboard for the World Music Albums. Humood's song "Kun Anta" exceeding 17.7 million views on YouTube and was top selling release on iTunes Malaysia.
