Hua Pian

Hua Pian (Chinese: 畫片) (also called "Yang Pian" in northern China.[1][2]) is a traditional Chinese game in which miniature reproductions of paintings or images are printed on paper or card paper.[3] The cards feature a picture of Hua Pian on the front side of the card and a word on the back side of the card. In the 90s, the game was widely popular among children.

The game rules are quite simple: Use your hands to flap the card. If the card jumps to another side, you win. Otherwise the card stays on same side, which means you lose. Hua Pian looks like an easy game to play, but it is actually difficult and requires skill. Players must practice many times to grasp the key of dynamism and hit angle.

Furthermore, Hua Pian is good for health, because the player needs their body movement to play the game.
