The blacktip sawbelly, Hoplostethus intermedius, is a small deep-sea fish species belonging to the slimehead family (Trachichthyidae).
It is found in the West Pacific, near New Zealand and Australia (Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania).[2]
