The high-body pipefish, Leptonotus elevatus, is a pipefish in the family Syngnathidae (seahorses and pipefishes).[1] These demersal fish are widespread in New Zealand and the Auckland Islands.[2] They have been reported in both shallow and deep waters (60 to 120 m).
