Heterodactylus is a genus of gymnophthalmid lizards endemic to Brazil.[1]
Species
The genus Heterodactylus contains the following three species.[1]
- Heterodactylus imbricatus Spix, 1825
- Heterodactylus lundii J.T. Reinhardt & Lütken, 1862
- Heterodactylus septentrionalis Rodrigues, De Freitas & Silva, 2009
Etymology
The specific name, lundii, is in honor of Danish paleontologist Peter Wilhelm Lund.[2]
