Hertford Regional College is a further education college located over two sites in Hertfordshire, England.
History
Hertford Regional College was formed from the merger of Ware College and East Herts College in the early 1990s. Today, the College is based at two sites in Hertfordshire at Turnford (51°43′29″N 0°01′28″W / 51.7247°N 0.0244°W) and at Ware (51°48′27″N 0°01′52″W / 51.8074°N 0.0312°W).
About the College
HRC offers a range of courses including Diplomas, BTEC awards, apprenticeships and Access courses.
The College offers a wide range of full and part-time courses, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees and professional and leisure courses. All subjects are taught by specialist tutors in professional standard facilities. Hertford Regional College also offers some higher education courses, primarily in conjunction with the University of Hertfordshire.
In 2015, Hertford Regional College partenered with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to create a sixth form programme, combining academic and sporting qualifications.[1]
Campuses and Facilities
The College has two campuses, one located in Broxbourne, and one in Ware.
Ware
The Ware campus is situated just seconds from the town and is home to the brand new Creative Arts and Enterprise building.[2] The campus offers students state-of-the-art training facilities in subjects including fine arts, design, visual merchandising, fashion and photography, hair and beauty, media make-up, game design and new specialist qualifications.
Inspires Salon
The College's Inspires salon is a Centre of Excellence for Wella and Dr Belter and an approved school of the Hair and Beauty Industry Association (H.A.B.I.A). It includes five hairdressing salons and six beauty salons.
Broxbourne
The College's Broxbourne campus is designed to inspire with industry standard facilities, including The Atrium Restaurant, The Michael Morpurgo Theatre, Engineering and Motor Vehicle Workshops, Childcare & Care Suites, and JetBlueAir – an 18-seat aircraft cabin which has been lifted straight from a real British Airways plane.
Atrium Restaurant
The Atrium Restaurant is a student run restaurant, open to the public, found on the Broxbourne campus.
