Haus Church (Norwegian: Haus kyrkje) is a parish church in Osterøy municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Hausvik on the western shore of the island of Osterøy. The church is part of the Osterøy parish in the Arna og Åsane deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in 1874 by the builder Ole Vangberg. The church, which seats about 460 people, was consecrated on 19 May 1874.[1][2]

History

There has been a church on this site since the Middle Ages. This was probably a stave church which was replaced by a timber church in 1613. The second church was probably similar design to the nearby Hamre Church. That church was torn down to make room for the present church in 1874.[3]
