Hari Singh Dilbar (Punjabi: ਹਰੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਿਲਬਰ) is a well-known Punjabi writer and poet of East Punjab.[1][2]
Early life
Dilbar was born as Hari Singh in 1929 to father S. (Sardar) Mota Singh in Layallpur (now Faisalabad), British Punjab.[1] His father was a freedom fighter. After partition they moved to Jalandhar and then shifted to Sirsa (now in Haryana state) where Dilbar worked in a sweetshop for many year. Dilbar did his schooling up to fifth standard and started writing poetry in 1943.[1] He is known for his funny poetry. Till now, he has published many books on various subjects.[3][4]
