Hapoel Ramat Gan B.C.

Hapoel Ramat Gan was an Israeli basketball club which played in the major League in the past and was for many years one of the top teams. For 6 years also was Vice Champion State basketball. Remembered mainly for victories over the many time Champion Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C. The group were dismantled in 1988. A new team of the same name was reestablished in 2011.

History

The group was founded in 1957. In 1960 the group has risen League first group was called then called Hapoel Ramat Gan - Givatayim. The group fell league after only one season. In 1964 the group has risen again, the first snowfall, but the temporal change Nsra League second group. In 1966 the group fell in League (League then the third), after one season back League Group A, but in 1969 again fell in the group League. Group A League back in 1971.

In 1973 rose League first group (then called for the group of Ramat Gan and Hapoel Ramat Gan - Givataim) movement has already finished the first group and the fourth place until the year 1984 the group was not under the fourth place.

Prominent actors playing the group were: Steve Kaplan calculate the best player of all players playing group, Hanan Keren, Or Goren, Avigdor Moskovitch and played in Mtazrhim and foreign as well: Steve Slachter, Neil marketed, Cliff Fondkstr Steve Malovik. In addition Aimno the group of senior trainers such as: Zvika Sherf Arie Maliniak but despite everything the group failed to win a championship. The group has finished second six times instead of daring Cup finals five times in the country but never managed to win Cup.

Biggest surprise in 1984 was an amazing group to Maccabi Tel Aviv in semi final state cup basketball after it defeated 76-80. and It seems group would finally win the title, but missed the final to Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. 73-79.

The team also take part in European tournaments like FIBA Saporta Cup and FIBA Korać Cup in 80's.

Falling

After the year 1984 broke the association concerned to cover the debt each year groups the group began its deterioration. In 1987 League second group fell anew year fell another group broke third League final.

In 2011, the supporters' trust established a new fan-owned team by the same name that was founded and registered in Liga Bet (5th tier) for the 2011-12 season. In 2013-14 season the club finished 2nd on the Liga Artzit (3rd tier). Currently the team plays in Liga Leumit.[1]
