Hans-Peter Egler
Hans-Peter Egler is CEO of the Swiss Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB). Before joining GIB in 2014, Egler led the Trade Promotion Division of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).[1]
Egler started his professional career in 1988 as project manager for the introduction of the first office automation system in the Federal Administration. From 1990 to 1992, he was Deputy Head of Division for Latin America in charge of bilateral trade and investment issues. Hans-Peter lives in Bern and holds degrees in Economic Sciences, Modern History and Environmental Management. He co-authored the UNEP-report "Sustainable Infrastructure and Finance-Working Paper".[2] From 1992 to 1994 Egler was deputy Country Director of the Swiss Development Cooperation in Bolivia.
