Grand Point North is a music festival founded in 2011 and held in Burlington, Vermont.[1] Higher Ground[2] and members of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals[2] were among the cofounders of the festival in 2011, which over the ensuing years would book acts[3] such as The Flaming Lips,[4] Dr. Dog, the Avett Brothers, Gov't Mule, Charles Bradley, the Felice Brothers, Trombone Shorty,[3] The War on Drugs, Trampled by Turtles, and Lake Street Dive.[2]
Lineups and attractions
Burr and Potter have focused the lineup and booths on local bands and business from Vermont,[5] with the festival showcasing local businesses, food,[3] artistans, and activist groups.[6] Burr has explained that "we’re committed to throwing a festival that’s customized to the landscape and lifestyle of Vermont."[2]
