Gironico is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Milan and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) southwest of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,133 and an area of 4.5 km².[1]
Gironico borders the following municipalities: Cavallasca, Lurate Caccivio, Montano Lucino, Olgiate Comasco, Parè, Villa Guardia.
