Eugene "Gino" Kenny is an Irish politician who is Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Mid-West constituency.
He has lived in Neilstown since 1979.[1] He was a member of South Dublin County Council from 2009 until 2016, representing the People Before Profit Alliance. He was elected to Dáil Éireann on his third attempt in February 2016. He had previously contested the general elections of 2007 and 2011, finishing ahead of sitting TD Paul Gogarty in the latter.[2]
He has been noted by international media for his involvement in the Campaign Against Home and Water Taxes.[3] At the count, he raised the Palestinian flag during the declaration of his election.

South Dublin County Councilor Gino Kenny, of the “People Before Profit” campaign, which supported the anti-water charges protest, told TheJournal.ie that he had not seen such a large rally since 2003 when people protested against the war in Iraq.
