Geoffrey Seagrave "Geoff" Pearson[4][5] (born 18 July 1951) is the current Bishop of Lancaster in the Church of England.[3]
He was educated at St John's College, Durham.[1] Ordained in 1974[6] his career began with a curacy at Kirkheaton after which he was the incumbent at the Church of the Redeemer, Blackburn[1] and finally (before his appointment to the episcopate) the Vicar of Roby. Pearson was consecrated a bishop on 2 November 2006[2] and installed as Bishop of Lancaster on
A keen hillwalker,[7] Pearson is married to Jean with three adult children.[3] He has dedicated much of his ministry to the prioritisation of gospel work amongst children and young people.
