There is also a barn full of stuff that she investigates, and she discovers a trap door in the floor. She opens the trap door and goes down the steps and puts on the light. Sandra arrives with the coffee and shouts for Jennifer and she shouts from the basement, and Sandra goes down the steps. Sandra didn't know there was a basement, it's filled with beautiful antiques, and they find the body of her former fiance, Michael Chambers (Frank Zotter), whom Sandra thought had moved away two years before, when he left her for another woman. An investigation ensues, and Madison is outside Det. Frank Lynwood's jurisdiction. Sheriff Conners (Panou) charges Sandra with murder--hence the title. Recently widowed Kimberly Colette Baumaine (Aliyah O'Brien) comes into Rags to Riches offering to sell all the antiques in her house because she was moving away, and her husband had been the collector.
