History
Gahanna Christian Academy began as Evangel Christian Academy in 1980 as an outreach of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church, now One Church, with sixty-five students. Envisioned by Pastor Gene Speich, a "family life center" that included classrooms was built, initially housing preschool through sixth grade. 7th and 8th grades were added in 1987, and a full high school for grades 9-12 was opened in 1996. In 2006, the GCA International School program began accepting students from around the world.
