"Forget About the World" is the second single from Gabrielle's second album Gabrielle. Written by Gabrielle, Wolff, Dean and Barson, who wrote previous single, "Give Me a Little More Time", "Forget About the World" did not perform as well as its predecessor, peaking at number 23 in the UK. It was the lowest-charting single from the album and the only single to miss the top fifteen. The single fared better in Italy, where it became Gabrielle's first top ten hit since "Dreams".
