The Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration is a business school within Fordham University in the United States. It is a graduate school focused on business administration. As of March 2015, Fordham University announced the unification of the undergraduate and graduate business programs, and renamed the Fordham Graduate School of Business the Gabelli School of Business. The main campus for the graduate school is located in the New York City borough of Manhattan.

Fordham University's involvement in business started early in the 20th century with the founding of the undergraduate College of Business in 1920. The Graduate School of Business opened in 1969 as part of the redevelopment of Lincoln Center.[1] According to BusinessWeek's MBA Profile, between the New York City and Westchester campuses, the school has 349 full-time students and 1,202 part-time students.[2]

In the 2015 Bloomberg Businessweek Best Business Schools ranking: #72 MBA Full-Time Program and #64 MBA Part-time Program. [3]

In the 2012 Financial Times EMBA Rankings, the Fordham EMBA program was ranked 72nd in the world. The program saw significant gains in the percentage of women in the faculty and cohort, the professional experience and objectives achieved by the cohort and the average alumni salary after graduation.[4]

In the 2012 Bloomberg Businessweek EMBA Rankings, the Fordham EMBA Program was ranked 39th in the US.[5]

In the 2011 Financial Times EMBA Rankings, the Fordham EMBA program was ranked equal 67th in the world.[6]

In the 2011 U.S. News & World Report Specialty Rankings, Fordham’s Finance MBA was ranked 14th in the nation, its Marketing MBA ranked 23rd, and its Part-time MBA program ranked 50th, now Part-Time ranks 91st.

In 2010, CEO Magazine has ranked Fordham in the Top Tier (Top 25) for the Executive MBA (EMBA) program in the North America / Global EMBA Rankings. In 2008, The Wall Street Journal ranked Fordham Executive MBA in Top 30.[7]

In the 2010 U.S. News & World Report Specialty Rankings, Fordham’s Finance MBA was ranked 21st in the nation, its Marketing MBA ranked 23rd, Part-time MBA program ranked 30th, and its executive MBA (EMBA) program ranked 25th nationally.[8]

In 2009, BusinessWeek ranks Fordham MBA 5th in the Northeast & 55th nationally.[9]

The school was ranked 27th in both the 2006 and 2007 rankings of regional schools conducted by The Wall Street Journal / Harris Interactive, based on its annual survey of corporate recruiters.[10]

The Graduate School of Business was part of a consortium offering an MBA at Peking University in Beijing China from 1998-2008 and was replaced by Vlerick University. This program, known as BiMBA (Beijing international MBA), is listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the most valuable Chinese programs.[11]

Academics

Within the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, concentrations are offered in Accounting, Communications and Media Management, Finance and Business Economics, Information Systems, Management Systems, Marketing, Public Accounting and Taxation/Accounting (MTA Program).

Within the Master of Science (MS) programs, degrees are awarded in Accounting, Business Enterprise (MBE), Accounting, Investor Relations (IR), Media Management, Taxation, Quantitative Finance, Global Finance, and 3 Continent Master of Science in Global Management (3CMGM).

New MS programs for 2012 include: Business Analytics (MSBA), Marketing Intelligence (MSMI), and MS in Media Entrepreneurship (MSME).

Special Programs include: • Executive MBA • Deming Scholars MBA • Global Professional MBA • Joint JD/MBA • ESADE Business School in Barcelona
