Filhós (or filhoses in plural) is a traditional Christmas dessert in Portugal.
Filhoses are usually made by forming balls from a mixture of flour, eggs, and pumpkin (paste or dough), which is optional. When the dough has risen, the balls are deep fried and sprinkled with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. They are eaten cold.
