Presently, Fengtai Railway Station is a minor railway station located in the Fengtai District of Beijing, China. Dating from 1898, it has been closed for passenger service since June 2010, in preparation for a major project: the construction of the [New] Fengtai Railway Station. The [New] Fengtai Railway Station will be a major train station, constructed on a similar scale to Beijing South Railway Station.[1] It will become the main Beijing terminal for high-speed trains,[1] and will be considered the starting point of the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway.[2] The construction work on the [New] Fengtai Railway Station is expected to start in late 2012.[1]

The Fengtai Railway station is served by a station of the same name on Line 10 of the Beijing Subway.[3][4] The subway station opened May 5, 2013.

It will also connect with Line 16 in the future.[5]
