Further Seems Forever signed to Tooth and Nail records around the time T&N acquired Takehold Records. Prior to releasing The Moon is Down, this two song ep (Fall 2000 Tour Sampler) was released as tour support.

• Two tracks recorded by Further Seems Forever that never made it to the From the 27th State were "Picture of Shorelines" and "Just Until Sundown". These were later re-recorded for the band's first album, The Moon is Down, but the original version of "Pictures of Shorelines" is the version on this release. The original recording of "Shorelines" is also found on FSF's final release, The Final Curtain.
