European Crowdfunding Network
The European Crowdfunding Network AISBL (ECN) is an international non-profit organisation aiming to support and promote crowdfunding as an alternative funding mechanism for small and medium sized enterprises and innovative projects. It was founded in 2011 as an interest group. The Chairman is Alex Raguet.[1] The ECN has three main areas of activity:
- Raising professional standards
- Networking opportunities
- Industry research and promotion
The European Crowdfunding Network promotes and supports the development of Crowdfunding mechanisms as a viable funding source to European entrepreneurs and funders. It has its registered offices in Brussels, Belgium, but is represented through its membership base across Europe.
The ECN has a seat in the European Crowdfunding Stakeholders Forum of the European Commission.[2][3]
