Erythrinus kessleri is a species of trahira (family Erythrinidae).[1] It is a tropical, freshwater fish which is known from Brazil;[1] the type locality is Bahia.[2] It was described by Franz Steindachner in 1877.[3] Males can reach a maximum standard length of 19 centimetres.[1]
