Niels Erling Emmanuel Brene (November 14, 1896 – May 17, 1980) was a Danish composer.
He was born and died in Copenhagen.
In 1948 he won a bronze medal in the art competitions of the Olympic Games for his "Vigeur" ("Vigour").
Erling Brene was a very competent composer and music teacher from 1950-70 on The Ellebjerg School in Copenhagen.
