Erinn Veronica Westbrook (born January 12) is an American actress, singer, dancer and model. She is best known for her role in Glee as the captain of the Cheerios, Bree and in the MTV series Awkward as Matty's girlfriend, and Stanford-bound tennis star, Gabby Richards.

Early and personal life

She was born in Long Island, New York, but moved to Town & Country, Missouri when she was six years old. She graduated from Harvard University, where she majored in English, American Literature and Language, received a secondary degree in Dramatic Arts and an advanced certification in Spanish.[1] She was the tenth member of her family to attend the university and while there she wrote for the Harvard Crimson and was President of Students Taking on Poverty.[2]

Career

After interning for CNBC, NBC, and Oxygen, Erinn began her career as an on-air personality for MTV. Apart from reporting on issues and topics pertinent to young people, her main endeavors within the network were hosting SXSW, mtvU's Movers & Changers, a joint venture between the network and the New York Stock Exchange, and MTV Spring Break. Erinn served as one of the main hosts of MTV Spring Break 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2012, Erinn landed a recurring role on Mr. Box Office, starring alongside Bill Bellamy, Vivica Fox and Jon Lovitz.[3] She also choreographed two episodes in 2013. [4] Erinn began her career in Los Angeles as a model with Ford Models appearing in ads for Nike, Vineyard Vines, Seventeen Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine among many others. In the Fall of 2013, Erinn was featured as one of "Fashion's Next It Girls" in Hollywood by Who, What, Wear.[5] Erinn has guest-starred on a variety of shows including Switched at Birth, Supernatural, Bones, NCIS and most recently, Jane the Virgin. She is best known for her role as captain of the cheerios, Bree, during the fifth season of Glee. In the Spring of 2014, Erinn joined the cast of MTV's successful drama, Awkward, and continued with the show through the fifth and final season, concluding in 2016. [6] In the Summer of 2014, Erinn was invited by the US embassies in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to visit Southeast Asia as an emissary of Culture and the Arts. [7]
