Eric André (born April 4, 1983)[1] is an American actor, comedian and television host. He is the creator and host of The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim and plays Mike on the FXX series Man Seeking Woman.
Early life
André was born in Boca Raton, Florida. His father is Haitian and his mother is an American Jew.[2][3] He identifies as Black and Jewish.[2][4][5] After graduating from Dreyfoos School of the Arts in 2001, André studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he played the double bass and graduated in 2005 with a BFA.[6][7]
Career
He is the creator and host of The Eric Andre Show, a talk-show parody series on Cartoon Network's late night programming block Adult Swim.[8] He co-starred as Mark on the short-lived ABC comedy series Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and guest-starred on 2 Broke Girls as Deke, Max's love interest and fellow pastry student.[9]
He plays Mike in the FXX comedy series Man Seeking Woman, which premiered in 2015.[10] On March 3, 2015, Man Seeking Woman was renewed for a 10-episode second season, slated to air in 2016.[11]
