Emrah Savaş (born on April 1, 1997) is a Turkish ice hockey defenseman. He plays for Erzurum BB GSK and is a member of the Turkey men's national ice hockey team. The 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in) tall defender at 70 kg (150 lb) shoots right-handed.[1]
Playing career
Club
Emrah Savaş began his ice hockey career with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi GSK playing in the 2012–13 season. After one season, he transferred to the Erzurum Gençlik SK in the same city. For the 2015–16, he returned to his former club, which compete in the Turkish Ice Hockey First League.[1][2]
International
Emrah Savaş played for the Turkey U-18 team at the IIHF World U18 Championship in 2013 in Sochi, Russia, 2014 in İzmir, Turkey and 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand.[1]
He participated at the IIHF World U20 Championship matches in 2014 in İzmir, Turkey, 2015 in Dunedin, New Zealand and 2016 in Mexico City, Mexico as a member of the Turkey U-20 team.[1]
In 2016, he took part at the IIHF World Championship Division III in Istanbul, Turkey for the Turkey men's national ice hockey team.[1]
