Emrah Gultekin
Emrah Gultekin (born 1973) is a Turkish entrepreneur and real estate developer. He is best known for his development of logistics operations and logistics facilities in Turkey and Central Asia working for UTi Worldwide and Goodman Group. More recently he co-founded Plato School of Higher Education, an arts and design college in Istanbul and has had a leading role in the re-development / re-generation process of Balat-Ayvansaray, a dilapidated historical district in the old city of Istanbul.
He is currently the founder and CEO of Chooch Intelligence Technologies Co., a Silicon Valley start-up. Chooch is an Artificial Intelligence based search technology.
Emrah was educated at Dhahran Academy (1983–1988) in Dhahran Saudi Arabia, Woodberry Forest School (1988–1991) in Virginia, USA and Brown University (1991–1995) in Providence, Rhode Island. He was an acclaimed swimmer until 1993 when he quit to pursue other interests. He held the 50m freestyle Turkish national record from 1993–2002 and was captain of the national team in 1991 and 1992.
