Hope

At the age of seventeen, Biggs auditioned for The X Factor as a solo artist but only got to bootcamp. Later, Louis Walsh suggested that she and five other girls should re-audition as a six-piece band called Hope.[1] After reaching the judges' homes stage, they were told that they had made the final twelve. Hope was eliminated on 1 December 2007 by public vote. Since leaving the show Hope performed at various events around the UK. As of 28 April 2009, the band's official website was taken down and Hope later disbanded. Before auditioning, Emily went to Torquay Girls Grammar School (TGGS) in Devon.

Parade

Parade supported Shakira on the English dates for her 2010 The Sun Comes Out World Tour. They also supported Alexandra Burke on her All Night Long 2011 Tour and Shayne Ward on his 2011 Up Close and Personal Tour. Emily featured with Parade on Blackberry's Live and Lost Challenge. She toured with Parade supporting The Wanted on their UK arena tour The Code. In February 2013, Parade announced their split after band member Bianca Claxton decided to quit the group.[3]
