Emali is a fast growing town located along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway in Kenya's Makueni County. It is a favorite resting place for truck drivers ferrying goods from the Mombasa port to in land destinations such as Nairobi, Kampala, Uganda, Kigali, Rwanda and even the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It is christened "the town that never sleeps" due its vibrant night life. The town is inhabited by the Kamba and Maasai tribes.

Emali town is on flat land,has red volcanic soil,people there grow maize, beans and pigeon peas. currently the town is experiencing massive infrastructure development both by national government and the county governments of kajiado and makueni.Both The standard railway gauge and the one meter railway passes through there.There are two supermarkets, mulleys and Nakumatt.There are several petrol stations, shell, Total and other independent stations. There is a mosque and several churches. Ther are good hotels and restaurants
