Ellen Fein is an author best known for co-writing The Rules: Time-Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right, a best-selling 1995 book. The book was co-authored by Sherrie Schneider. Fein went from near anonymity to instant celebrity after the book sold 2 million copies.
When Fein filed for divorce in 2000, her credibility as an expert on relationships was questioned.[1][2] Fein remarried on July 27, 2008.[3]
On January 8, 2013 Ellen Fein released Not Your Mother's Rules, the fifth book she has had published.[4]
