ESI Design
ESI Design[1] is an experience design firm founded by American designer, author, and artist, Edwin Schlossberg in 1977, based in New York, NY.
The multidisciplinary design firm specializes in creating immersive and interactive environments that help brands, corporations and cultural institutions engage with audiences in innovative and more meaningful ways.
ESI Design has created many award-winning memorable experiences, exhibits, and environments. Their earliest project was one of the first hands-on learning environments in the US, the Brooklyn Children's Museum.
The firm also designed the award-winning Shanghai Corporate Pavilion (aka the “Dream Cube”) for the Expo 2010 Shanghai China which was ‘even more awesome than anticipated’.[2] The 2011 Society for Environmental Graphic Design judges awarded the Dream Cub an Honor Award, and commented: “A truly engaging interactive experience, with the actions of the audience changing the look and feel of the entire exhibit hall. A dynamic environment that holds together cohesively at every turn,[3]” and “An amazing experiential space. Children and adults can interact with this living structure. The use of color and light set the tone for each room. It could easily have been overdone, yet the controlled graphic quality actually makes the spaces understandable and exciting at the same time.[4]”
