Dion Cools is a Malaysian-Belgian footballer who plays as a right back for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League.[1]

Club career

Dion started his career with Tempo Overijse since he was 9 years old.[2] Then, he joined R.S.C. Anderlecht youth team in 2012.After a season, he moved to OH Leuven youth team in 2013. He signed his professional contract with OH Leuven in July 2014 after he finished his studies.[3][4]

International career

Dion was called up for 2015 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification by Belgian Under-19 national team coach, Gert Verheyen. Besides that, Dion is also eligible to play for Malaysia through his Malaysian citizenship.[5]

Personal life

Dion was born to a Belgian father and Malaysian mother from Kuching, Sarawak who moved to Belgium after their marriage more than 20 years ago.[3]
